Welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome,
At Warlingham Village Primary School, every child is known, valued and empowered to flourish. Our vision of Challenge, Inspire, Discover underpins all that we seek to achieve. We want every child to be challenged to fulfil their potential, to be inspired by the people, experiences and opportunities around them and to be empowered to discover their own interests, talents and strengths. We believe that learning should be purposeful, meaningful and memorable, providing children with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to thrive.
We recognise that education is about nurturing the whole child. We seek to develop not only academic achievement but also the confidence, character and curiosity that enables children to embrace whatever comes next. School is about friendships, curiosity, creativity, taking positive risks, finding your voice and developing the confidence to make a positive difference in the world.
While we may be small in size, our aspirations are not. We also value the close relationships and strong sense of community that are central to our identity. We know our children well and are passionate about making a meaningful difference to every individual. We are committed to providing children with rich experiences that inspire a lifelong love of learning and empower them to realise their potential.
Chalklands Cluster
Warlingham Village is part of the Chalklands Cluster of schools including Whyteleafe, Marden Lodge, Hillcroft and Chestnut primary schools.
The vision for the cluster is:
For all five schools to work in collaboration for the mutual benefit of all of the children, families and staff in the communities the schools serve. For each school to retain its unique identity whilst still benefiting from the expertise and knowledge across all schools.
