School Meals

School Dinners

These are eaten in the school hall from 11.45 a.m. under the supervision of our lunchtime staff. The lunches for year groups are staggered as the hall is not large.

We receive our lunches from Chartwells (part of the Compass Group). There are 4 options to choose from everyday: the main meal, the vegetarian option, tomato pasta and jacket potato with either beans, tuna or cheese.

Like before your child will be given option one unless we are told otherwise. Please make sure they see a member of office staff in the playground in the morning if they wish to have a different option.

Parents of children having a school meal should pay either half termly or termly directly into the school account. Any ad hoc lunch orders will still have to be paid in the current way to Fiona. For account details please see Fiona.

The current cost of a school meal is £2.50.

Packed Lunches

As part of the government's Healthy Schools campaign, we support the provision of well-balanced packed lunches, therefore we do not allow sweets, chocolate bars or fizzy drinks with lunch.

We provide water for all children at lunch.

We provide seating for your child to eat their packed lunch and when the weather is warm enough, children with packed lunches can picnic outside.

We have some children and staff members that suffer with a severe allergic reaction to nut ingredients, we therefore ask that chocolate spread is not used in packed lunches as it may contain hazelnuts.

Parents are requested to ensure any packed lunch is free of nuts and to remind their children not to share food or drinks in their lunches.
